Thanks in advance. I had severe issues for approx. After several reboots, I was able to convince recovery mode to format the drive. You are running OS X 10.7 or later and upgraded without first disabling FileVault protection on Home folders encrypted with FileVault under Mac OS X 10.6 or earlier.
